Cold IPA — 6.8% ABV — 48 IBU — Strata Hops
A cold IPA is brewed and fermented like a lager — cold, clean, minimal yeast character — but hopped like an IPA. It pours bright and crisp, deceptively easy, before the hops take over. Looks like it's holding back. It isn't.
Strata brings big tropical and dank aromas — pine, papaya, lingering citrus — and the clean lager-like base lets every bit of it come through sharp and unobstructed. Refreshing first, intensely aromatic right after.
The name comes from one of the great peaks of the Écrins massif — for years mistaken as the range's highest summit, simply because the true highest point hides just behind it. Like the beer: deceptively straightforward at first glance, with more to discover up close.
