Glacier Noir takes its name from its appearance: a thick layer of rock and debris covers its surface, making it look more like a field of rubble than a glacier. But that covering is exactly why it survives — shielded from the sun, it reaches further down the valley than its uncovered neighbors. Unassuming on the surface, built tough underneath. The same could be said for this beer.
